About the event

WiHN’s Dr Meera, a gynaecologist, and Dr Neeta Jain, a women’s Health Specialist GP, along with another colleague, educated GPs on how to investigate iron deficiency in over 30 GPs.

In 2025 we had two radio programs on two different radio stations to discuss heavy menstrual bleeding the major cause of iron deficiency.

SBS Radio: Dr Vani Arjunamani discussed causes of heavy menstrual bleeding and how it causes iron deficiency. A patient with adenomyosis shared their experience about delay in diagnosis and how it impacted their life.

Darpan Radio Sydney: Dr Neeta Jain spoke about important women’s health topics, including heavy menstrual bleeding, iron deficiency anaemia, and the role of the Mirena (hormonal IUD) in management.

Dr Jain discussed symptoms, treatment options, and when to seek help—information that every woman should know.
